Chariot Hotel is a long-standing hospitality destination in Buea, Cameroon, known for its comfortable accommodation, event spaces, restaurant services, and relaxing environment. While the hotel already had visibility through social media platforms, the goal of this project was to create a modern digital experience that reflects the elegance, warmth, and premium hospitality the brand is known for.

The website was designed to position Chariot Hotel as a top choice for travelers, families, tourists, and corporate guests visiting Buea by giving users an immersive and visually refined experience from the very first interaction.

Overview

The objective of the project was to design a clean, luxurious, and easy-to-navigate hotel website that showcases the hotel’s services while making it simple for visitors to explore and send booking inquiries.

The platform was structured to highlight:

  • Accommodation options including Standard Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Executive Suites
  • Restaurant and hospitality services
  • Pool and pool party experiences
  • Event hall rentals for weddings, conferences, and corporate events
  • A gallery showcasing the hotel environment and activities
  • A blog section for updates and hospitality content
  • Contact and inquiry pages for customer communication

Rather than implementing a full online booking system, the focus was placed on helping users easily discover information and submit reservation inquiries directly to the hotel team.

Logo Recreation & Brand Preparation

Before designing the website and establishing the design system, one of the initial challenges was working with the hotel’s existing logo assets. The client wanted to retain their original brand identity and did not want a redesigned logo, but the only available version was low-resolution and unsuitable for digital and print use.

To maintain brand consistency while preparing the project for scalability, the logo was carefully recreated as a clean vector asset.

This process ensured that the identity could be properly integrated into the website design system and later reused across future branding and marketing materials without quality loss.

The recreated logo later became the foundation for the project’s typography, color direction, spacing system, and overall visual identity.

Design Approach

The design direction focused heavily on visual experience and brand perception. Since hospitality websites rely strongly on presentation, the interface was crafted to feel elegant, premium, welcoming, and spacious.

Large visuals, clean layouts, refined typography, and structured content sections were used to create a luxury-inspired experience while still maintaining simplicity and usability. The user journey was designed to help visitors quickly understand the hotel’s offerings, browse room details, and confidently make inquiries.

Special attention was also given to showcasing the atmosphere of the hotel through imagery, helping potential guests visualize their stay before making contact.

Final Thoughts

This project combined both UX strategy and modern UI design to create a digital presence that aligns with the reputation of Chariot Hotel. The final experience not only improves how the hotel presents itself online but also helps build trust, attract new guests, and communicate the quality of service visitors can expect.

The result is a visually engaging hospitality website that balances elegance, clarity, and functionality while supporting the hotel’s long-term digital growth.
